I am trying to reduce the wind noise some on my 87 K100 LT. Supposedly, Laminar Lip makes a good product to throw the air about 6 inches higher. Problem, Laminar Lip does not make a Lip for the LT that year since it supposedly came with an air foil on it stock. My windshield is plain Jane, no scoop or air foil. 1) Is my bike weird that it is lacking this air foil, and 2) is there an equivalent product from Laminar Lip that will fit and work even though it is not specifically engineered for my bike? Thanks!

Twisted Throttle sell an MRA clamp on 'airfoil' that oughta fit your RT, no worries.

I can reccomend my solution: Arizona screen plus MRA adjustable deflector (airfoil). Deflector kills buffeting, the screen doesnt bend on higher highway speed like original RT screen. Its quiet, no excessive noise.
I use it for 3 years maybe.

I can't answer either of your two questions but someone must know the arrangement of the stock windscreen on a BMW 1987 K100 LT.

However I am interested in knowing if anyone  has used the MRA bolt-on product on a 1985 to 1987 K100 RS successfully. I continue to be after noise reduction as well as reduced buffeting.

The MRA clamp-on screens won't easily fit an RS since the various types are expected to be attached to thin windscreens with a bit of a curve. On my RS I'm using a Laminar Lip. It works well for my 175cm height.
