Hello!

At first time, sorry for my english...

I'm new in this motorbike, I actually ride a Ducati 1098, but last week I buy a K100RS 16V with ABS.

I think the K is a better bike for my all day's desplacements, but I like to transform a little bit in the next days...

Now the bike:

New in K100 RS 16V from Spain 20151210

New in K100 RS 16V from Spain 310

In the next days, I'll inform with the changes:P

PD. I need the start enabler and gear indicator of Robmack

Welcome Valenciano,

Nice looking bike you have acquired there.

Don't be in too much of a rush to transform her, they are kind of nice just the way they were made. A little targeted maintenance to get her running sweetly and the freedom of the open road is what suits them best.

Enjoy

G'day Valencianok100 , the 16 valve K100RS is without doubt the best KRS made , I'm assuming that if you need the start enabler & gear indicator cct from Robmack that you will be changing the instruments.....changing the instruments = another café hack , please don't , that's a really nice RS ! , as B A C said enjoy it as it is for a while

Hi!

The bike is pretty, but too old fairings...I only like to change a little bit things, and put out the fairings. The engine, transmission and of course commodity, are the things because I bought this bike.

I bought it with a idea in my mind...this will be my "everyday" bike, only small changes that put the bike very pretty with actual time.

I put the changes here and inform us!

Kind regards and thanks to everybody.

Welcome from another 16V K100RS owner.  Do the fluids and initial maintenance.  Ride it for a while and then with some miles under your belt plan your improvements.  I have found all of my bricks(I have 3) to be very well designed ergonomically, with the exception of some of the seats.  They are all comfortable machines that you can ride for long distances, yet are nimble and not too clumsy in traffic or tight places.  The fairings on the RS and RT models do a respectable job of protecting from the weather.

I think that with regards to the fairing, there are several here who will tell you that the only mods needed are to remove the lower sections in hot weather.

Hello Point Seven Five!

I change all the fluids and filters, only need now the clutch disk. Any suggest? Where can I bought at good price?

I rode almost 650Kms with the fairing, it's very confortable, of course.

I have another Bike with fairing, is a modern bike (2008) and I'm very happy with it. Now I only use the motorbike for a short city displacements, but in summer almost 600-700kms every weekend. Tourist travel with my girlfriend. I only like to put out the fairings of the BMW and bit changes. I promise that take a good care of it.Razz
The problem in my habitual use is this:
New in K100 RS 16V from Spain Image110

This is my Ducati, and now the BMW is for replace this all days, short displacements and summer weekends.

In the next days I'll post photos of the BMW with the modifications mentioned.
Kind regards.

Welcome to the forum too.

You live in a beautiful place and a K on those roads will be really nice. I fell in love with Bayona and the north west coast there a long time ago and would love to go back on the K.........

+1 on the K1100RS fairing.  It is a fairly easy retrofit.  I did mine last year and I really like the way it looks.

Actually it's a repaint.  The original color was Royal Blue.   I believe it is Ford Arctic White now.   I really like the white with all the black drive components.

Kinda looks like a cop bike.

Hello Everybody!

Thanks for your good reception 92KK 84WW Olaf, Brickrider2, 88KE and Mike!

Nice fairing Point-seven-five, Bayona is beautifull. Specialized press said that the best route Spain's route is from Bayona to A Guarda. If all have the oportunity another time...is total this road around the Atlantic Ocean! The opposite side is that here rains a lot of days...

I was working in a little modifications in the K, i think in a pair of weeks are all finished. I promise a new post with all the pictures and modifications.

Here in Spain the law are to serious with the modifications, and I don't like to cut the passenger place, and of course problems with the police, (For this kind of things I've got the other motorbike) but I think than the K100 with the "brick" engine are spectacular!

Kind regards to everybody from Spain!

I'm also stripping my BMW K1, cause I want to ride it some time as a cafe racer while I find all the original and expensive parts that are missing...so I have choose the same option as you. Nice profile pic also, its your bike? I'm trying to find the 'perfect' round headlight/headlamp but as it is the start of my project I found it very difficult...maybe 5-3/4" will be the best..what do you think?

Hi Valenclanok100,
that is a beautiful job that you did on the K.  Well done.

I just looked at the route you mentioned. Do you mean by the coast or over the mountains?

Myself and my wife are going to Porto for a week in June, then up to Sanxenxo for a week, then around to San Sabastian. So we'll get a chance to ride that route.  Maybe we can even meet up to have a look at your new bike.
