This is the best ad on thingy I have used yet. As the title says it's called AdBlocker and it does precisely that.
To give you an idea of why I like it so much: I have a 20GB data each month and that is small by today's standard. We always used to go close to the limit each month and if we go over the speed gets cut back so it barely works at all and is VERY slow. I installed the AdBlocker and the last 2 months the usage has almost halved (11GB) so almost half of my download was being taken up by ads and I was paying for the data just so some goose could try to sell me some piece of garbage.
Probably isnt anywhere as bad in the cities where a 500GB download is available but because I am in the country we have no choice but use the satellite and the bandwidth is limited.
The add on works really well and no more damn ads. Haven't got a link but just google ad blocker and it will be right there. Using AdBlocker 723598

Adblock Plus is certainly worst installing on your computer.
I am using this for years. It's available for Windows, IOS and Android.
It works very well, but some websites will detect it and the page will not load until you disable it for the site.
I give it a Using AdBlocker Thumbs10

Using a HOSTS file is a great way to go too. Doesn't update itself though..

Been using Adblock Plus for years... can't be *rsed to keep updating a hosts file. As far as those sites that detect Adblock Plus and refuse to load... I can get the same stuff/info elsewhere.

Yesterday, I was reading an article about Web Sites and advertisements. Apparently, companies can pay Adblock to put specific advertisements into the adblock white list. Exclamation Question Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil

Yes, but Adblock have very strict rules on what is not blocked. I've never noticed an unblocked ad yet, so I guess their system must be working.
