Evening folks,  just from wiring a new tail light, new head light and new led indicators on the 84 k100 rs that's almist done with it's weight loss program!! Pic's to follow when complete.
My issue is.... when I turn on the right or left indicators i get a solid light, no flash and a buzz sound from the relay.
Found this from a site search

https://www.k100-forum.com/t7153-relay-question

but no definite conclusion, and cant read the german link. Can anyone shed a little more light for me please.
Have purchased resistors but am not to fussed about hyper flashing (think it grabs more attention)

As far as I know you need the resistors to simulate the original load. Flasher unit is not designed for LEDs and they don't draw enough current.

Hey olaf, They are big bulky thing, don't know where to put them!  Do you know if re wiring the relay is an alternative to resistors? If not Maybe someone has an idea where to house resistors? pics would help:D

Or you could try to find miniature 21watt halogen blinkers which is what I did on my K75 to keep the relay happy .

Took the easy way out! Had a pair of gsx1400 indicators in the shed so wired them up and they worked fine, put back on the leds this time with the resistors and it flashed but had hyper flashing. Also resistors were bulky. Ended up purchasing some 23w mini indicators (very similar to gaz80's) and that's another job off the list.  thanks all. Will stick up a build tread when its done. Or close to.

I put led blinkers on my RD350 and used a relay for led flashers.

They certainly do the job blaKey! ........ and being that small they don't break when you happening to lose your balance and park it horizontally as has happened to me on a couple of occasions.   Embarassed

Olaf you can drink mine now and then buy me more when I'm next over there.  buzzy blinkers 905546712  buzzy blinkers 905546712  buzzy blinkers 905546712
