I have just received my tank back after having it repainted due to severe bubbling of the paint.
It seemed that petrol had got between the tank and the paint. I have a new gasket to go under the petrol cap.
My question is, should I put anything on the rubber gasket to form some kind of seal. I'm thinking silicon but I am not sure if its petrol resistant. I do not want this problem to reoccur on the beautiful new paint job. Thanks.
