Do you use a wide screen monitor, high resolution setup and Firefox as your browser?
If the answer is yes, you may have noticed that some web site are not filling up the full width of your screen and you are constantly adjusting the zoom level to comfortably read the web page.
I just installed a new extension on my Firefox to automatically display any web site to the full width of the monitor.
It seems to work very well for me.
Try NOSQUINT

Sounds handy. I'll give it a go.

What I've noticed is that Firefox doesn't always want to play with Windows 10... or is it the other way round!

I am running Firefox on 3 different Windows 10 testing computers and don't have any problems.

I am still on the testing phase of W10 and have not found any major problems but.... I saw many people experiencing crashes and having to re-install the OS.

If you are still using Windows 7, you should keep it at least for another month: It seems obvious that Microsoft rushed the consumer version of Windows 10 out the door in time for back-to-school season. But the “real” Windows 10 (at least the “next final” version) won’t appear until October or thereabouts, in the form of Threshold 2. (Think of TH2 as an accelerated Service Pack 1)

I was forced to uninstall Windows 10 on my main laptop as my soundcard, etc., went away, and I didn't enjoy the mobile phone app look and feel of the product. I'm back to Windows 7 and glad of it.

On a mini laptop, one that has all of my iTunes and photos on it, it's working fine.

still waiting for some manufacturers  to come out with drivers for w10  before I go there ( tv capture card etc )

there always seems to be compatibility issues on the release of new o/s

w81 has been good so far for the last year or so

the metro interface is a bit of a downer though ...luckily I don't have to use it often ..most programs transferred to the desktop without issues at all

I am running 8.1 with the Windows 7 interface for the last year 1/2. No bug, no slow down just a replacement of the interface.
Start your computer with the desktop and the "old" start button the way that it was with Windows 7
Check Windows 8 classic shell
Highly recommended.

I did too installed a big screen TV for my wife but nosquint is still a plus.

If you don't care about very high picture quality/refresh rate, the cheapest way to go is to buy an LED TV. Unless you are a gamer, this may be the cheapest solution. This is more than adequate for a day to day use.

They are cheaper, good quality and .... you can watch TV too.

Here is a 40" LED-backlit screen with 1080p (1920 x 1080) for about £200

Just trying to save you money to be able to buy another K.

Ah, now there's the catch, to be truthful. I'm both a gamer and a game developer, so the big screen is really useful for graphics work. That was the main reason I bought it but I couldn't resist the comeback! Very Happy
