out and about today , spreading the word for our upcoming Blue Boxer Ride for Prostate Awareness.
Headed out to Cessnock on a whim, as the annual Swap meet was on for the weekend .thought this would be an opportune location for hanging up some posters .
plenty of lookers but the number of sellers sites was down quite noticeably . walked a mile or two then as the clouds gathered around I headed for the bike and home .
Aldi at Cessnock had a fair lineup as I passed on my way in , so I checked in at Kurri, still plenty of stuff on the racks , hardly any dsturbance . word on FB is that most of our local Aldis had long early queues with big spenders. having glanced through the katalogue during the week , it looked like a good place to visit.
unfortunately my attention was drawn away from the bargains as I had spotted this Kafe waiting in the carpark.
this is a 1990 K100LT . Exhaust sounds sweet , with a mild rumble. sounded like a warp disc as he rode off though.
Two LT's side by side .
It is one I have spotted before on FB so I took the time to chat with Scott, the owner , nice chap. made sure he was aware of the forum and Smithys parts page as he mentioned needing stuff in the past.
the day finished up with me stripping the seat ready for a recover. 2 layers of staples and one layer of rivets. rusty staples are not so easy to get out.
seat has the plastic base. Probably glue and rivet the new one in to place. wish me luck.
Towbar had a refresh of paint last weekend , the forks and footplates will get a touch up over the next couple of weekends.
