I changed my 85 K100RS bars out for K1100LT bars and cables, I went to mount the cable on the handlebar end and the "chain hook" is too small for the LT connection, the RS throttle end was smaller, what can I do?

The K1100 throttle cable is different because the hand piece is more like a conventional motorcycle throttle and doesn't have the chain set up. You will need to use a K100LT throttle cable. It's not practical to use the K1100 throttle as it mates up with the master cylinder which is different because the K1100 has 4 piston calipers. Its a mine field.
