Hi guys, I've just seen one of these in a shed, 100,000klm with the works, very well looked after, only did 90 ks last year so the owner wants to get rid of it. Blue (like my KRT) and a very nice looking beast. Has an after market sports pipe and chip init as well as original. And it's in Moss Vale. a mere engine warm up from me. Asking $8,000 neg. and had BMW riding gear as well. (hope he's my size, XXXL)
I need some reasons not to buy it. (apart from being too tall, heavy and fast for me).

What are you waiting round telling us about the next bike you are going to have.  Go on hurry or someone else will get it.

I can't think of one reason not to buy it.

Let me know if you need a lift to go and get it.

Well, looks like the exit polls are showing a swing towards me buying it, no one else is aware of it yet so I need to take it for a ride first to see if I can handle it. Mrs RT (ST) likes it but wants me to be Kautious.
If anyone else wants to have a look I'll get some piccies.
And sorry Gaz, won't be making peak hour Saturday morning King Street Newtown hipsterville, can't drink cappuccino at the moment and get a bit agoraphobic out in the burbs. But enjoy.

RT - you are in the space where there is know question!

You ask for reasons why not - nobody has bothered to give you any because we know that in that space none of us can HEAR....

Remember what you told yourself last time and wait a week.....

Ah rawdonball, you are right Grasshopper.
The bike IS and RT, I have an RT, and my name is RT, so it's all aligning. Just went for a Kspin to get the battery charged up, beautiful cool day here but the body strength problem still remains for me. Waz just sent me a link for a K1200LT, now that's a bike.

Hey Rosskoe, was wondering if you had some input, you have ridden one of these? didn't throw you off like a K.

Not thrown a leg over and been thrown over.

You could get a nice K1 for that money RT.

I love riding my R1150RT almost as much as my Ks. They're natural brothers and play well together in the garage when you're asleep dreaming of riding.

Ah, but like a Mighty K, the weight is carried low and disappears the moment the clutch is released and you're away, and underneath those hectares of easily-removable plastic lies a real motorbike! Also, the seat has three heights: very tall, not so tall, above average.

R1100RT 282 kgs/621.7 lbs wet

K100RT 253 kgs/558 lbs wet

Hey RT, if you are worried about all that weight, strip all of the plastic off it and turn it into a café racer...Twisted Evil

Hey Blakey. I'm worried now cause u didn't put a cheezy smiley face after that comment. Smile
I already have a 91 RT stripped in my garage waiting for an idea to come up, but I've seen cafe racer seats and my bum says no. How did I ever get so many bikes? Oh yeah I whinged until the Comptroller gave in.

Buy the bstd - you can't ride paper crap, you can't eat it or even wipe things with it very effectively. Buy ride live - grow old sensibly - yet disgracefully, on  real bi K e Ks forever and today. suns out rains in f dat ride on for ever, never mind the doomsayers, they only wear their tongues out, their mind died years earlier. Live -Ride.

RT if you are going to wait till you've had a ride then I'm afraid you are definitely going to buy it, I've ridden one and can assure you, you are going to like it. Now MRS RT is M series RS and so you must be M series R so you need one, really you do. mrrt

At the moment I'm tooling around on either my daughters Honda VT250, My wifes Suzie gs500, My K100 and my son in law is going to leave me his Triumph Speed triple for 5 weeks. No shortage of rides, but I'll get the 1100 over for a few days anyway, cause there is just a little bit more room left.

Oh and a weather warning for all you Aussies, I'm getting my hair cut (no jokes please, I do it twice a year whether I need it or not) and that always brings on the cold snap.
