Hi, my bike has sat unloved for 3 years and am in the process of getting her mobile again. First thing I noticed absolutely no front brakes. Dismantled MC, a lot of crud inside which was cleaned. Piston and seals look good, bore is good. Flushed system and primed with syringe through head stock tube. Tried several bleeding techniques but cannot get any pressure. Am reluctant to buy rebuild kit when all looks good, do rubbers shrink with age? Will try the o ring fix but any ideas appreciated.

G'day, recently had great difficulty in bleeding front MC on the 86 K100RS. Turn handlebars to left lock and put bike on side stand. Fill MC and gently tap brake lever until no more air bubbles can be seen. It worked for me but this technique won't work with ABS. Hood luck Cheers Tom

I replaced the MC on my 93 K75s which has the brake line going into one caliper and then a copper pipe to the other one. I could not get it bled properly. I took it to the local bike shop for a power bleed, but even then it took them another half hour or so to get it right.

I bought a Super Cheap Autos Autos bleed kit and mine took 15mins from dry. The back took 5 mins then I did my zx14r back brake which took another 10mins. Best $15 nz I ever spent.

It doesn't show but has a Y intersection and 2 additional short hoses to hook onto both front calipers at the same time. Leave them 1/4 open and just start pumping lever toping reservoir up as required. Its using the hose thickness to not allow as much suck back as is pumped each cycle.

"It doesn't show but has a Y intersection and 2 additional short"  Difficult to do with ABS and most of the Ks that had that crossover had ABS.

The bleed kit has the Y intersection and hoses. Im not sure if your referring to bike or kit.
Not familiar with abs models. Do the still only have 2 bleeding nipples, one on each caliper?
Its hard for me to know whats stock as mine came with r80 4 pot calipers when I purchased the bike and aftermarket caliper adaption mounts. Its also not an ABS model.

All good would have been easier if the link showed the whole kit. I found the fact you could open both nipples a real bonus when bleeding and close the first one to pass fluid for a while the other side filled up then open both again to bleed it all.

I got the kit because I struggled to get my top hose fully bleed as it would pump into the large steering head reservoir and the air would rise back up into the top hose. An our and a full brake fluid bottle wasn't doing the trick manually and I think the lower clip-ons and Master cylinder height than the tube was making things worse as it the fluid needed go up and over the master cylinder height.
