Hello my name is Paul, alias Pugsley (a long story). I would just like to say hello to all here at the K100 Forum. To be honest, I have never really spent much time before looking at the K100 Forum, prefering to spend my time on other K forums. I mistakenly took K100 Forum to mean those of us with only 3 cylinders not 4, were not considered. However I've found some magic stuff on here for the K75 and stuff that applies to both. I bought a 1986 K75S in 2012, it was bike number 22 in a line of UJMs, British, Italian and racing two strokes. it is the only bike I have now that is not in a box and it is the first BMW I've owned. I like the simplicity of their design and function and the fact that there's plenty to improve and modify.

Hello Hello Mc758110

Welcome to the forum Paul. Now is where some confusion comes in as we have one other Paul from your area.

Thanks for the generous welcome.

That photo was taken before I'd owned it for very long, unfortunately it isnt looking so clean nowadays. In fact it is one of the things I'd like to do, sort out the flaking paint on the engine, gearbox and final drive casings. Not sure what paint is the best to use to get a hardy finish. I'll ask that question in the appropriate place on the forum.

RickG. I think you may find that Paul is indeed me, having registered some time ago after returning from the pub and registering with the beer googles on. Very Happy

welcome paul ...

nice bike

if you search around the forum you will find many posts about cleaning it all up ... as always a little bit of cleaning at a time consistently is your best bet ...unless your prepared to pull it all down ...  as many have said "meccano for big kids" ...its all easyish ..with the right tools and previous research ....patience sometimes is a virtue
 good luck and ride well

Welcome Pugsley, Whether you are running on the 3/4 K, the full 100, or are slightly ahead of the others ,you are most certainly in good company here .
We do have another Paul in the ranks , a well travelled Born Again Eccentric , who will be worth catching up with as the time permits .
In the meantime , keep perusing the pages of this wonderful conglomeration of info , and keep us informed of your work .
Cheers Ed.
