what's the speed when the rev limiter kicks in?

I'v done all the suggestions on fixing a faulty speedo but they didn't work, so decided to use the bike with the faulty speedo about a year ago. I'm on vacation, and will try outsomething new out there.

btw, is there a way of damaging the rev limiter?

The rev limiter is a function of the electronic ignition module:
(Pin #8  of the Electronic ignition module feed the RPM info to pin #1  of the FI computer.)

If the speedo doesn't work, it has to do with the speedo itself or the pulse transmitter on the final drive. The speedo doesn't use any information from the ignition computer.
