Just got my first 1985 k100 rt yesterday, 24th, and love it already. No doubt i will be asking many questions in the future, lol.

First question would have been how to cancel the indicators but eventually found it after riding 60 miles home, doh

Hi and welcome and the indicators don't take too much getting used despite what has been said by lazy journalists and they also have the benefit of self cancelling or are supposed to be so if yours don't...... :suspect:

Welcome on board great to have you with us. The thing I found incredible with our indicators is the speed of cancel depends on what you are doing, if you are sitting idling at the lights they take a long time to cancel but if you are riding or accelerating away from a stop they cancel quickly - good one BMW!

I believe that automatic signal cancellation works only over 40km/h. Speed and distance will determine the time that the flasher stays on.

Hi bruce , i went from a superdream to the RT!! first time i rode was when i picked her up. Indicators were way wrong but after 2 weeks just so natural!Now sometimes check that ive done it its that easy!
Everything is so logical all the way through.
