Did a full oil service (engine, gear and final drive) on my older K100. Everything went OK until the last bolt destroyed a thread on its place... Well I found a longer bolt on my sparebolt bin and it worked well. Allthough I was very carefull these things seem to happen - bike is almost 30 years old and all.
So my question is:
It is one of the three bolts that keep the oilfilter cover on it's place. If I will destroy that thread totally next time I'm changing my oilfilter is it so that I can get the whole oilpan off and those threads are on it? And so it can be fixed or replaced while off.
