Twelve years back I was shunted off to the States for a year. I wanted to buy a bike while there but circumstances conspired against me. During that time I got home for a month over the Christmas period - first thing I did was drag out the bike and disappear for a few hours. Good job my wife was at work!

Our climate means we don't generally suffer from this dreadful disease. We can use a bike all year and the K in particular can be used in any conditions apart from ice which we don't see much of.

There is a similarly named symptom that affects our rides though and notable signs are also significantly increased irritability and headaches. In that case it is most important to have emergency treatment [12 Ena Harkness delivered twice daily for a week does it] and immediately avoid Parked Motorcycle Syndrome.

There was a good source up near Comberjohn when I was young but it was moved to New Zealand about 40 years ago and is still running in good fettle.

mmm . . . I remember a time, long ago, when I had an 1986 R65, , in 1989. I lost my licence for very bad behavior and was off the road for an extended length of time. Looking at that ride, and not being able too DID drive me elnutso

I ended up selling the bike. It was to be about 18 months before I was to be relicensed. I cried as I watched the buyer go down the drive with the bike on a trailer. Man  . .  but I just could not stand to look at it and NOT be able to take it out for a strop

This experience leaves me in no doubt. What that picture at the beginning of this thread says is TRUE

I love the innuendo on the WD40. I showed my missus it and she laughed her head off. Said we won't need any until we get in to our 80's!. Can you believe that!. I can't even begin to imagine it. I am sure my tool will go rusty before then or my nuts will tighten
