Hi everyone!

I am Gian and I live near Venice Italy, I love classic motors and own a 1980 R100T, a 1987 K100RS and a 1976 Morini 3 1/2 GT. I try to hang on to classic motors bug also with cars but that's more challenging, now I'm happy with a 1990 Mercedes 200 (w124) which I use every day.

Oh... Yes Sir, I have sinned and owned a few old Vespas when young but it was purely explained as law restrictions and budget size limitations.

Some of you may know me already for my stickers service, I will post a little self promotion topic in the correct section just after this, or find all here: http://motorbikestickers.tumblr.com/

All the best

Hi Gian and welcome.

I've had 2 brief visits to Italy - about an hour each! One to Ventimiglia (crazy traffic) and one on more open roads further North (very pretty). Unfortunately, on 4 wheels, not 2.

Looking forward to seeing more someday, maybe on 2 wheels even.

Hope you find this Kommunity as welcoming and helpful as I have.   Smile

Bill

Hi Bill,
Thanks for your message, very glad to see how many OZs are here (as I'm married to one...)

An hour in Italy each time only?! Wow not even planes cross our country so briefly!

I'm from the North (around Venice) and there are such a big variety of landscapes and roads to ride here, make sure you'll stay longer next time and buzz me before

Cheers

When I had a Honda CB500-4 years back a guy not far from me had a Moto Morini 3 1/2.  That was one of the nicest bikes I came across. His mate had a Ducati Desmo single and the sound of those 2 bikes together was something else. They passed our house a couple of times a day.....What they appeared to lack in ccs was made up for by a lot of very usable power and superb handling.

Welcome and maybe some of us might get to Italy....or you might take the K to Ireland.

That would be a very long ride indeed!

Oh, the Morini and those Lafranconi pipes... I hate to say it on a Beemer forum but that roaring sound can give goose bumps, and yeah the engine has a great power curve for its small size.
Vibrations are a different story Ciao from Italy Icon_rolleyes
