Hello!

I´m a owner of a K100rs -86 witch is kind of a café project!

(trying to upload a picture but it doesn't seem to work)

I have a couple of questions for my new project, maybe this isn't the right place but here we go:

1. Im gonna replace the gauges to something smaller (speedometer), but it seem that this bike doesn't have a mechanical wire that tells the speed from the engine!?. When i took of the original gauges there was only electrical wires into it. So is there anyone that understands how this works, and what smaller gauges should i look at for this to work properly?
Do i need to use all the wires for the bike to run??

2. My idea is also to replace all the turn signals to LED, and so far is i know its a good idea to replace the turn signal relay. Is there anyone that know where i can find a relay thats fits and work whit LED?
Is the relay box under the fuel tank?

Picture?

Thanx
/Anders

Hi from Sweden 177912 Anders

For the LED indicators you need something like this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-CARCHET-Motorcycle-LED-Turn-Signal-Resistors-Flash-Controller-12V-25W-8ohms-/380692852123?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item58a30fed9b

You will need one for each indicator. You can't change the indicator relay because they are different to the type of indicator relay that is fitted to just about all other bikes.

Someone else will be able to answer your question on a replacement speedometer as many on here have done that mod.
