Steering head bearing parts

Just checking the spec for the bearings on a '88 K75....320/28 X/Q SKF
Will I need a steering head bearing metal cap as well?

If you are talking about the metal dust cap that sits on the bottom yoke under the lower taper roller bearing, then yes, as you are likely to destroy it when removing the old bearing. They don't cost much.
