Hello to all!
I have to say that I feel ecstatic of my new acquisition (1993 K75 ~32,000 Miles); and very excited to be able to learn, and form part of this forum which caries a great wealth of knowledge and talented people.
I must admit though, I know very little about K Bikes; in fact I know very little about motorcycles overall.
YES, this would be my first bike ever and being a BMW fanatic... why not start with some great, German engineering to compliment my 4 wheel beasts!
What is my goal and vision?
Well...some may love it, while some may hate it.
Loosie (Bikes Name) is currently in its Frankenstein stage of becoming a (Drum roll) Cafe Racer!
Yes, there are many modifications which I would like to be able to perform, my vision for Loosie is quite grand and the trail will be treacherous and exhausting, with many nights under the bright lights, sweaty palms and probably a few cuts and bruises here and there; but as I always say, where there's a will there's a way!
There is a lot for me to learn, but I hope to accomplish and achieve my goal with the help of those who are patient and generous enough to teach and contribute.
Primary tasks on my list:
Installation of turning signals.
Switch controller and Instrument Cluster have been removed. Currently it does not have any working turning signals. Any alternatives, as I do not want to use the Switch controller (too bulky for my taste)?
Front head light turns on, but works sometimes...
Sometimes, not always when I turn the bike on the head light goes off.
The head light always turns on when the key is turned half way, but at time when I turn on the bike the head light acts up and does not turn on or flashes a couple of times and shuts off quickly. I then need to turn the bike off and on again, various times for the front light to turn finally turn on; but remains on for the period of the ride. Loose cable??
With this being said, I will say that I truly enjoy constructive criticism and encourage the input for ideas and advise.
Cheers!
