Can anyone advise if the cam covers for a K100 and K75 are the same?? They look it but that doesn't always mean much.......I just want a spare one I can polish up!!

You can do this quite easily. It's a very useful tool. If you have a silver version of a part and want a black painted version it will not tell you the difference, but for most it will.troubleshooter wrote:Can anyone advise if the cam covers for a K100 and K75 are the same?? You don't need a parts catalog to figure this one out. A K100 has four cylinder, a K75 three. A quick look will show you that a K100 cam cover has two bolts more than a K5.troubleshooter wrote:Can anyone advise if the cam covers for a K100 and K75 are the same?? Tru dat . . but if you can find a friendly engine reconditioner with a paragon tank they just dip it and the paint brushes off after about 2 dips and 48 hours in the paragonRicK G wrote:Yes they are interchangeable but if you want one to polish make sure you get a silver one as the black paint can be VERY hard to remove.

I believe that a better name for what the original poster is talking about would be the cam chain cover. In which case the number of cylinders would not necessarily have any bearing.
