I am looking at a spare painted part on 'preloved' for my K75 (front mudguard) that looks in better condition than mine and lugs are all intact.
Mine has a couple of marks that look ok from a distance and a quote to repaimt was scary; the cost of the two mudguard half's at around £25.00 (all in for for both parts ) (incl postage) seems a good option.
The advert mentions colour 616.
I can't find a bmw colour 616 on looking at RSPaints and wonder if this isn't an individual colour, more a 'scheme' colour.
Is there a BMW colour 616 and so the ad wrong - would you summise?
In the picture the colour is a 'blue colour' that looks like the silvery blue of my K75, but a photo on my old Nokia phone and exposure makes this maybe a gamble.
Anyone know the secrets of BMW colour numbering?
Mark

try http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/paintcodes.htm, it shows the paint code for Colombia silber paint scheme 616 is paint code 204
And car paint is slightly different in colour than bike paint, cant say why but others have noted it.

The Clever are adept at extricating themselves from situations that the wise would have avoided from the outset - QUOTE from david Hillel in Out of the Earth.
