There is a k100 with a hrd chair and leading links up on ebay with a buy it now price of $3000. I wish I lived in queensland id snap it up just for the leading links. I dont think it gets better value than this Smile

Took a bit of finding.  It looks decent.  That's a HRD leading link too(had one before, I know what they look like).

Hi Al, what was the hrd link like? I have heard that Ron built very little trail into his links and it gave a bit of a twitchy ride.

Yea me too, if it had have been just a little closer I would have jumped on it. I wonder why it was put up so cheap. I put my rig together on a shoe string and it cost me twice what that went for and I dont have links.

My mums house (and a bunch of my K bits) are about a 7 min drive from whre this was for sale Sad I should have just bought it! totally spewing.

Wonder why so cheap though?? WHat do you reckon would have been a more suitable price for such a bit of kit? In my mind the sidecar bits alone would have been worth 3 grand.

Ebay Sale (now Ended)

The some of the parts alone would be at least $6000 id recon. It looked really tidy too. I keep an eye out for chairs because they interest me and there are some real dogs out there people arnt shy about asking big prices for. Ive been trying to find the cheapest rout to getting some leading links. So far buying that whole out fit would have only been a few hundred dollars dearer than the cheapest set I can get from the uk

If that's the price they're selling for I might as well hang onto mine...not worth selling at that price!

I bumped into a fellow who was putting a chair on a rocket 3 in bathurst. He was looking at $15000 for the chair fitted with a set of links. That didnt include colour matching or car wheels. This on top of the $17000 he paid for the bike. you would never get that sort of money back. Its a shame because I think more people would give sidecars a try if it was not so expensive. I found the registration process a mine field as well. Nobody new what to do with me. In the end because my set up is a bolt on affair I didnt need and engineers certificate. In the end I just love riding an outfit. Some of the best fun ive had biking.

We have a chair on a Rocket 3 that was done in Bathurst by SRK Engineering....wasn't quite that expensive but not cheap either. The reason we took it to him was he can supply all the engineering certificates for rego etc.  Smile  Smile

That is a beautiful looking rig the matt paint looks incredible. Ive got to say that if money was no object I would love a set of leading links from SRK.  I understand what your saying about the engineers certificates if I had needed one the prices I had been getting were around $1000 last time I spoke to sean he was charging $300 if it washis work and $600 if it wasnt

When I first got it, it had the original 18" wheel fitted.  It was pretty stable.  I later fitted a 15" front wheel and it was quite twitchy then.  That suited me though I prefer quick steering to on-rails stability(which is just hard work).
