Here is a beautiful renovation of a K bike that I saw at the 2006 MOA rally in Vermont.
Wheels and engine covers had been polished, and the rest of the bike had been painted with a high gloss red paint.

I agree that the style is a question of taste, but if you had seen this bike in real...... the finish was just perfect. To my opinion, it was the best custom K bike beeing as close as possible to an original (no after market parts).
The engine was polished with a mirror finish, and the paint was certainly one of the best one that I have seen.
