Hello, My name is Serghey,   47 years old and I'm from Romania (the land of Dracula, Nadia and Ceausescu). I  drive a BMW K 100rs ( 70500 km ),and i"m excited about the capabilities of this motorcycle. Unfortunately, in my country there are few K 100 and  i need to feed my need for information from foreign websites.
I am amazed at the amount of information on this forum and across the Atlantic that there are so passionate about motorcycles German.
Thank you very much for your hospitality and sorry because  i do not speak verry good your language.

Welcome from the USA as well.  Pretty bike.  Is it really a K100RS?  It looks like the K1100RS, but I'm no expert at identifying the differences.  Did the K100RS models come with the dual-pot caliper brakes in later years?
It's great that our admiration for these bikes draws so many together from the far corners of the earth.  Very Happy

Hi Garywalker and welcome too. I love the z1.

Curious about your RS having a fork brace. I thought that didn't come until later. But glad it sorted. The cooling fan is the usual problem. In hot weather you can kill the engine when stopped in traffic, I ran my L T without a fan for ages doing that. We have 25 - 27C, hitting 80F and I do that, really cuts down the heat.

Might be idea if you do a separate post and put your ViN no in your signature. Everyone is very helpul and friendly and some of us meet up from time to time.

Enjoy the K too.

A big welcome from Oz. Your English is much better than our Romanian (apart from two66mhz). I was in your beautiful country recently and liked it a lot. But I've gotta say you are a very brave man riding a motorbike there. The roads (at least in the north) were amazingly awful. I swear there were potholes you could lose a K100 in. And the Romanian drivers are, um, enthusiastic. I lost count of the number of times I was overtaken on blind corners. By trucks.

Your bike looks great and there is unlimited advice available from the the knowledgeable blokes here. Welcome.
