A shame you aren't in Oz I would be knocking on the door now and asking for a look.
I am sure you'll get plenty of interest from the UK and Irish guys.

Nothing in particular I already have a shed full of K parts but a few more never goes astray.
The postage on small bits is still not to bad but bulky items they rob you blind on postage. I wanted some mudguard parts ,the black plastic bits and from a wrecker they were $30 for the parts and $170 to get them here.

I do have a mirror and not sure about the side cover, it may be a right I will get back soon. Is yours an LT or early RT/Police type.

These are parts I would like if they are reasonable in cost as well as reasonable shipping to Canada. I will be in Austria next week so I could have them shipped there but it would be easier if they were shipped to Canada.
Mirrors complete and/or mirror parts (the signal lens and glass mirror itself)
Fuel pump and assembly including vibration damper/holder if available
I can send you the part numbers later today.

Hi all,

Dug the bits i have out today. Tomorrow i will start to photograph them and make a list to go on here. I have brand new stainless brake discs, brembo calipers [new] brand new master cylinders, brand new switch gear, well, more than that, everything on the end of the handlebars, master cyl, switches, lever the housing that holds them all, for both sides too. Unused since powdercoating frame with V5, stands, unused since powder coating wheels complete with tyres, [unused] and the brake discs [unused]. Brand new pair of coils, a set of locks with matching keys, steering, ignition, and seat lock, all new. Lots of stuff!! I will start taking photos tomorrow to stick on photobucket for you all. I got fork yokes, gaiters, seals loads of stuff all brand new. Got some used stuff too, radiator, alternator [reconditioned] starter motor, gauges... Like a prat, i threw loads out, loads of body parts like the entire fairing...... Duh... Once i have them all listed just have a look and see what you think. I would rather do the lot as a job lot to be honest though, but see what happens..

Hi there, For new parts i am thinking around half what motobins or whoever want, used bits will be well reasonable too.

Only exceptions will be the drive shaft that i see motobins want £100 for bodged up "welded on spline" lash ups, [and no longer do proper ones!] but £150 would buy my genuine bmw brand new one.

The front brake discs are £240 a pair in motobins, well, i want about the same for mine, but then they do come with a FREE pair of [front and rear] wheels, freshly powder coated [and they really are PRISTINE] fitted with brand new Continental tyres  and the discs are bolted on with brand new stainless bolts, oh, and brand new front wheel bearings already fitted too!!!

Let me get my photos up, and you will all see what i mean....

I would rather sell the lot as a job lot to be honest, [and i will deliver it all for free] and this will be cheaper then you think.....

See what you think when i have got my photos up..

john...

Do you consider the welded on spline is no good.

Well, i would not like to say that... BUT, it is obviously far less than ideal... Making the spline hard enough to resist wear, will lead to welding problems, unless you use lots of preheat or think you will heat treat it later, but you cannot, cos of the rubber bits. I would say it is a solution of sorts, but far from ideal..

If you want to buy a kit to weld on yourself, then lets hope you got a lathe to face the end you saw off, and a TIG set to weld it, and you know what the two materials are, and you got a balancing machine to balance the completed job.

I see there is a place that will sell you a complete shaft here [the uk], but i do not think it is a genuine BMW one, but a copy. It might be very very good though, far better than welded on bits i would think, but then it is also £278......

That is the problem with old bikes, once bits get scarce, people want to try to hike up prices and, well, makes lots of money. I have loads of new bits here and i do not want to rob anyone, like i said, i will do all the new bits at half price or less. So long as i get some of the money back on what they originally cost me, that will do me. Like i said. i would sell my GENUINE BMW shaft for £150, FAR short of the £278 for a copy..

I see that Grimeca calipers are £160 a pair. I would do a pair of genuine Brembo ones for a fair bit less than that, complete with pads and all pins clips etc.

So long as i get some of my money back, and help someone build a nice bike into the bargain, that will do me!!

I am busy taking lots of photos of the stuff at present!!

So are you not prepared to let the handlebar switches go as an individual sale then ?  I could do with them is all and I'm reluctant to pay Motobins/Motorworks full price if you are prepared to make a deal  Question

I have done 3 weld on splines and I do agree that it is not ideal but one of the 3 has done 25000k now without any sign of wear and the other 2 I haven't heard from them so no news is good news.
It costs me $150 all up so $200 is a fairly good price for a shaft that should do 100,000k.
Considering that probably most of the Ks around aren't used for every day transport and may only do 10,000k a year it's a cost effective solution.

Finally finished!!! I have taken photos of all the bits I have and put them on photobucket!!!

MAKE SURE YOU CLICK ON THE BLUE PART OF THE LINK OR IT WILL NOT WORK!!!!!!

Click on the links, and then browse about!! Once you get to the album, there is a thing you can click at the right hand sid above the photos to see them as a slide show. IF you do this, the description is given at the top of the photo, on it actually. IF you just view the album and click on a photo to make it bigger, the description will then appear UNDERNEATH the photo

Remember ALL parts are BRAND NEW and ALL genuine bmw EXCEPT for those in folders marked "USED" that are either used, or reconditioned by me.

All parts are for an 8v K100RS. Make sure they are right for your bike!!! The ONLY exception is for the BRAND NEW block and piston set i have. This is for a 16v K bike, including apparently, the K1....

I also have a load of gearbox parts and indeed, a complete used gearbox, but I have not photographed them yet, oh and a good used seat too!

All NEW bits will be about half price, USED ones well reasonable. Do not be afraid to make me an offer if want to buy several things, or indeed the whole lot as a job lot, I will not take offence!!!

Oooo. lets see...

Say £20 for the pair, plus the postage which would be about £10 for parcelforce tracked, or about £7 for the ordinary. I would have the tracked.

They actually look better in real life than they do on the photos, and were both working well when i removed them.

Payment could be paypal, but do the send money thing, NOT the buying stuff or they will charge me. Or bank transfer if you got the internet banking that would be even better.

PM me what you think..
