Good question. At that point as far as large engines went it would have either been Z9 or Honda 4. For some reason I have a vague memory it might have been a Honda4 ...And old mate of mine owns the film rights to it for the US and his uncle did a lot of the filming on the movie.

I'm pretty sure it was a borrowed racing sidecar not a road-based outfit. So most likely a complete custom bike and sidecar chassis together fitted with one of the engines at the time most a Honda or Kawasaki 4.
Kawasaki supplied the Z900s for the movie.
The special fairing etc fitted to Stones Z900 was stolen in France when they took it to the Cannes Film Festival to fit to a dummy bike for display purposes.
