hi I am from usa/ohio I have  a 1985 k100 rt I bought it last may and rode it to work every day until November.
then I started to take it apart I really wanted to go through the hole bike repair and replace anything that needed it, I have been a bmw k100 fan since 1990 it has taken this long for me to finally get one and I love it. this site has helped me so much during my project and during last summer maintenance.

Rabbit hole straight ahead!
Buy a good manual, take a heluva lot of pictures as you dismantle, ziplock & label everything and store it where you won't lose it and you'll be fine.

Oh, and be methodical and patient. Beer helps.  new member 112350

Welcome aboard. Lots of great stories and advice on the tearing down process. Even some on the building up process.
