looks pretty good I think?
What I can see of the chassis and sub frame looks good... not too spindly.
The builder went to some trouble to keep the fairing and sidecovers etc.
Needs a car rim on the rear for better handling and a wider contact patch on the road.
At the kind of speeds I ride these days a leading link wouldn't be crucial for me. I rode mine for 5 years and more without one.
Ugly sidecar fuselage though... Shocked

Have a squiz at the close up of the bottom of the rear shockie. It's an interesting use of the shock stud support concept. He's got an L bracket so the 'weight' rests against the final drive's level surface rather than the simpler narrow support most of us use.

I have done much the same with a square bracket off of a roof rack. lets hope it works as good as t looks. I do a fair few Ks on some second rate dirt with a pillion.

It's a HRD subframe but not a HRD sidecar or chassis (I've had 3 HRD setups, can recognise the subframe easily).  The modded radiator cowl is a HRD product as well, he had them made rather than modify originals as he sold so many K100 sidecars back in the day.

No, definitely not.  His are all doubles and the windscreen frame is part of the moulding.

I've seen these before but can't remember the name, has some similarities to a single DJP but it's not a DJP either.  Chariot maybe

It's the same mold as the chair I have that came with a Z1300 but mine is a one and a half wide.
I know a guy near Toms place in Newcastle that has one on a Z1300 Kawasaki

Yes it's a Chariot.
There was an article/road test in Two Wheels in 1977 about a road trip test with a DJP, a Westcar and a Chariot all mounted to Honda 4s.
Wish I could find the magazine again somewhere...
Good old Gonzo journo Kel Wearne did the test. He was my favourite.

Schoorn.

Sold for $5100. That seems a little bit steep to me without a leading link. What do you guys think?

Mark if you are thinking of a chair I have one here that I will take almost any offer for it.

Well... considering that the prices of Bricks has risen a bit....
Considering the ridiculous  prices they ask for some outfits ( and don't get by the look of it) ( $12k for a Chinese copy of a Russian copy of an R71 or 8k+ for a Cozi on an Enfield single etc) You see them for sale for months and they gradually drop a grand in price at a time, then another grand etc.
20+ for anything new and large. Harley, GSX1400 etc
Considering with a Brick you get a robust and reliable machine with ample ponies to travel around on.. shaft drive..a very long lived motor...
90-odd horsepower..
I mean, being an old codger who lives in the past when Dneprs were a dollar a cc and came with the sidecar attached already and a good 650 Bonneville was worth 650 bucks...I clearly have no real idea...
But I'd say it was a fairly reasonable buy.
