Hello again,,
just a little background on myself. I am 47 years old and have owned my 1985 K100RT for about 8 years now. It is showing a young 156,000 kms on the odometer, the true km's is anybody's guess! I have never regretted buying it. I have been a licenced auto technician for over 20 years and perform 99% of ny maintenance and repairs myself, along with the assistance of Crazyfrog when needed.
My first two bikes were both older Kawi's. First came a 77 KZ650 Custom, followed by an 84 GPZ 750. I decided I wanted a bike for touring, and the BMW K100 caught my eye. Last winter, 2006/2007 it underwent an extensive teardown and rebuild, along with a fresh coat of paint.
I have been a member of BMONS for six years, and enjoy the many club outings.
Cheers for now, CC.
