Probably takes a bit of getting used to.........but the K75 is ultra smooth. Why not try a K100? As well as the K75.....

I suppose your talking about your Harley, when needing more power. It's a positive step forward you've taken. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome.

Wring its neck. K75 models really do respond to that sort of treatment, you won't do any harm. Forget the H-D slow revving, stick-it-top-and-forget-it style, stir the gearbox and get the revs above 6K, you'll find that it has plenty of power.

I think you have to remember that not all engines are slugs  and work on loads of fuel and torque alone

get back into the joy of riding with a little spirit ... its a challenge for some ...but in the long run you might enjoy the difference ...we do ....

have fun and welcome aboard ...!

4,500+ RPM is your friend.  Run it up there and it's a whole different bike.  The engines are bulletproof. Wring the snot out of it.

What Duck said! You are confusing Power and Torque, I doubt that those HDs make as much of either but i'm SURE that they feel they do. Use what it has ( the 75 that is) and you will come to appreciate the benefits of a K bike.
Where I ride, hilly twisty, no city commute, I ride the torque curve of the 75, even 2 up, NEVER found lacking 'cept when I didn't change down, you know speed versus engine revs, early enough. Click and back into power!
What Duck said! Rev her tits off and report back please.

Welcome Rick,
You've made a huge leap in terms of technology.  I've had my challenges becoming familiar with my K100RS after many, many years just riding old BMW airheads.  I'm guessing the change is even more dramatic for you.  Give it some time and I'm sure you'll grow to appreciate the many differences between the k and your more.. ahem... experienced rides.  They all have their charms, don't they?

Welcome Rick,

I'm sure you'll love the K. I've just sold my custom Harley Springer, so will need to do a bit of "adapting" in my riding style too. Got to agree with the other comments though, you should find your RS "epic" compared to the harley.

I cant comment on the K75 but its well resected as a great bike.

On the K100 5,000rpm is motorway cruising speed and the bike is at its best in terms of power and comfort. I have no doubt the K75 is the same but in one point it is supposed to be better as in no vibration whereas the K100 has some at about 4,000rpm.

The K bikes are pure mile munchers and will leave you smiling.
