All the past help has been wonderful, I hope it will continue to answer my troubles.  I have revived a 91 k100 sitting for 8 years.
I took the advice in one thread to bypass the alarm troubles and get the bike running.  Well, it runs very well.  Back to the alarm, mine has a 9v battery and it trips regardless of key position.  and even when out of the main circuit, it trips with just the 9v.  regardless of position with trap depressed.
Thanks in advance
Stephen

Put it in a dumpster Ks aren't a target for thieves now days they dont sell for much and spares sell for fairly cheap as there isnt much market for them. just use a disc lock or a chain.

I was leaning on that option, a disk lock is more certain and does not drain the battery

I use a lock but only to stop messers trying to move the bike away. No one is interested in taking them and no value in the parts. So many people too would know a dodgy part source too.

If in doubt park near an R1 or GS etc. They go first.

What they said.

For their era these babies have enough issues, junk any extraneous stuff.

Or do you live in a high risk area?

Harleys, bless em, will go first, probably their biggest claim to fame?

Point well taken. Concentrate on what works.  No, I do not live in a high crime area.  but as one rider so eloquently stated "if you have it, it should work"
Thanks for all the posts
Stephen
