South East Queensland.
The Gatton swap meet is on this weekend 26th and 27th Oct but is being held at Laidley which isnt far away.
Gates open at 6.00am on Saturday and no camping on the grounds.
I will be there around 7ish so anybody else wanting to come here is the web

As for camping, my read of the flier is that Sat night is ok

The camping thing for friday night at gatton was bad news because all the campers got in on friday and took the good bits.

You are right about that. Most of the good stuff was gone by early Saturday morning, and people started pulling out Saturday arvo. At least this should spread it into sunday. Might get a bigger crowd of lookers.

I notice that some of the swap meets say 8.00am opening time and absolutely no earlier. It gets rediculous when to get to the Toowoomba swap i need to get up at 3.00am so the goons can open at 5.00am
I was involved with the Nambour swap meet and it was getting crazy that we had to open before daylight so the stands could get set up.

I heard they did the lock out to stop people starting early, which apparently always happens at this event, so all the good stuff goes early giving the meet a bad rep, which reduces attendance and the gate take goes down.
