hi every body hope you's all enjoyed the rally last week and every one got hope safe and sound does anyone know the layout of the fuse box on a k1100lt I blew the third one from the bottom and the bike just died in motion it would wind over but not fire so I pinched one out of the bottom and it started ok and I rode home 15 k without a hassle I blew the top one before that (temp and fuel gauges) ive obviously got a problem I suspect is my break light switch but a fuse lay out will help trak it down.just like a knife sales man but wait theres more on the right hand side of the bike behind the side cover there is a plug with two green wires going in and two brown wires the two brown wires have been bridged and if you undo them it wont start but will spin over.the bike is ex police and who ever had the job of decommissioning it must have been in a hurry mick

Fuse #3 from bottom (#8 from top) is for the stereo and map reading light,
and should not cause the bike to stop when it blows.
Your bridged brown wires is most likely for the sidestand switch.

I can't help with a fuse box layout Mick, I have been looking for some time and will have to figure it out myself one day when the bike is in bits.
However I can confirm the hurry that is used when ripping the parts of a police bike, I have even seen wires just snipped and left bare seems so long as it doesn't go up in smoke they dont care.

Have you got a complete list of which fuse is which Inge it will save me heaps when I get to finishing the complete colour circuit diagram.
