Hi all, I didn't make the last meet due to a forgotten about wedding. However I will be at the Irish Sidecar Owners Club wknd at BallyRafter House Hotel in Lismore Co.Waterford on the 20/21/22 Sept.and all Irish Eccentrics are welcome to attend. Camping is allowed in the Hotel grounds and all the hotel facilities are available. There are only ten rooms in the hotel and if anyone here wants to book a room, pm me.(4 remaining at the moment) Opening on Friday, ride out Sat morn and "Gala" dinner that evening for anyone that wishes to avail of it. You don't need an outfit to attend the rally (or the dinner for that matter).

Looks like a nice one but coming after the north outing another weekend away is not on the cards due to a sudden work commitment. But a run to Lismore Saturday afternoon and some dinner might be a runner. Road back to cork in the dark is not so nice so will depend on weather.....

Any takers down south?

Do you want me to get divorced?  Shocked

And Groupon are doing a special 1/2 price DIY divorce for €251 - but I think it would cost wayyyyy more than that in the long run.

Anyway, I will have to decline as well, what with this weekend, and then heading off to Lanzarote for a week at the end of the month (grin!) I am swamped.

The joys of being childless!

Groupon do divorce deals?

Anyway we will be thinking of you in Lanzarote, worn out from yet another boring back breaking Ruinair flight....while you wistfully enjoy the autumn rain wondering if you can find the jelly fish infested beach in the bleak fog as we enjoy sunshine, synergy, sweeping roads and K bikes sipping champagne in Lismore. Its only an hour from home......

Ah the joys of being grown up children...

I'm heading off to bonnie Scotland that Saturday. Four of us going on a day trip from Stena Line for £15 return for bike and rider, Belfast to Cairnryan.
Funnily enough, wife has started wrapping my sandwiches in a map.

HMmm, not too sure about the champagne, but the hotel proprietor is  a long time motorcylist and expert class trials competitor, so I'm sure he could arrange whatever you request..........Hope to see you there

Why not stay a few days and book a day trip from Cairnryan to Belfast?

Use the day trip one way from Belfast, bin it and don't return, then book a day trip from Cairnryan, and bin the return............

The deal is only on the weekends so you would need to take in a week and you know how dry the weather in Scotland can be at this time of the year. All Irish Eccentrics Icon_lol
If you did do that and had to pay full price for say, a Wednesday, it would still be a lot cheaper than a normal return.
Besides with this interweb thingy they'd probably spot you and stiff you for the full price.
