Can you simply turn the fuel cap 180 degrees to open to the rear rather than to the front?
This is a question regarding a 1987 K100RS and 1987 K100RT 8V.
Thanks
Shep

think that might cause probs with :

1.  Tank air (breathing ?? Embarassed  ) hole
2.   Waterdrain hole & pipe

The tank doesn't breath through the cap, Olaf, there's a drain/overflow pipe which exits through the bottom of the tank that acts as the breather.

Turning the cap will cover the water drain hole though.
If you really must turn it, Shep, then drilling a new drain hole opposite the existing hole should  work.

Paul.

Swapping the side prop to the opposite side will help too. Wink

I often wondered about that. I was working on a shopping centre with an Architect and he designed some motorcycle parking bays on the left of the traffic up against a wall. He had trouble understanding that it would not work because one always exits a motorbike on the left and you need space so the bikes would end up out in the traffic lane. He actually thought you could put a stand down either side.

I use to have a little honda 125 trails that had a side stand on both sides, it was designed for hill farmers so you could park easily on hills.
