As many of you out there motorbike are not only about riding, but also about having something different. I rode a BMW R1100RS around Norway earlier this summer and loved it. Had company by two good friends on an R1100S and a R1100GS, all stock bikes.
Feeling the need for another different bike, I stared to look for a bike to make into a café racer or at least a minimalistic custom bike.
Not sure buying a non-runner as well as abandoned project is the best staring point, but it sure was cheap... I believe it last was on the road in 1999 as that's the last tax disc and according to the seller it had 55000 miles on the clocks when he sold them. Thanks...
Anyway let's try keeping this short... The project is on and I am hoping for a run at Easter. All the work is done outside in the glorious Essex (UK) weather so progress may be slow come winter.
