If you have the means to keep in contact with the forum you will never be in trouble. Parts from
www.motorworks.co.uk or
www.motobins.co,uk will generally reach you in 2-3 days. Both are excellent. I have ordered on Tuesday and received on Thursday. There are many helpful members here and I am sure if you take a few spares you will be fine.
I do a lot of long trips and never yet had a problem.
It is more what you should do before you travel. Do a service [oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, new plugs, check all lubricants] and check your brake pads, tyres etc have plenty of life left in them.
Lots would say bring a spare clutch cable [car or bike that is wise], you can even have it threaded in place in case it breaks. A spares pack with bulbs, fuses, tyre plug/seal/inflator cartridges, spark plug or two, some wire, a few wire connectors, a spare litre of oil [if you use any its €30-€40 for a 1 litre container in the motorway services]. Your fuel hoses must be good, if in doubt replace them. A 1 litre bottle of water is useful, first for thirst and second in case you need it. If you are on motorway remember services and fuel are very far apart so you should not let your available fuel drop below 50 miles/80km
There are lots of places to hide these parts. If you put in longer fuel hoses and move the earth from the tank you will be able to lift the back of the petrol tank at the roadside without disconnecting any hoses to get at them if you store them in the relay box.
You will always get help, having the parts is what makes it easy.
The K is very reliable and we do not see so very many of them letting someone down on a long journey.
