hello forum members
i'm new to this forum, bmw, motor bikes in general (have never owned a bike before other than one with pedals)

wanted a hobby so made this purchase back in February this year

the bike to me runs nicely and has 119000k's on the clock.

it has the 3 spoke wheels which i have not seen all that frequently and am curious as to how this bike ended up with them versus the regular K wheels so your thoughts are appreciated

Rossco took a look at the speedo and has told me that it is ex police given the 2km increments

i want to give it a good clean up and fix a couple of things here and there

thanks for having me What a FaceBig thumb

welcome mate....

The K75 and K100 had the same size rear wheel ,17 inch, except for the K75c which had a rear drum brake which was 18 inch.

You can get 2 types of three spoke rear wheel, the 3 spoke that fits the K100,K75 and K1100LT, and the 3 spoke rear that fits the K10016v and K1100RS which you can use on the standard K100 or K75 but there is an offset issue....about 5mm apparently, others can expand upon this.

the following gives an insight into the differences between the models...

Welcome raging bull.

I think you should ignore the talk of three spoke wheels and just swap with my snow flakes.

Let us know if you need a hand.

thanks for the warm welcome people

as far as the wheels are concerned, initially, i wasn't that fond of them and that is probably because the snow flake (thanks Rossko) design is clearly more common place among K bikes

it is still early days so for now, i will sit on the wheels that the bike came with but if that does change Rossko, you will be first to know

Welcome to the forum. Good to see more members from a real state. Beware of Rossco...he has cravings for barmaids with tats.

Klompy,

The seat on the white K.....what type is that? My recently acquired 84 K100RT needs a seat and that looks much like the one on my LT which unfortunately doesn't fit.

In fact why not send us the white K...looks good.

Olaf
