If you cannot afford a leading link fork, here is a simple cheap modification. Very Happy

This is an original modification made by AJF Axion.

Yes, very interesting, CF.
On a K the front wheel spindle needs to move forward between 50 and 70mm and I've been doing some sketches of a similar arrangement for a K but, as yet, I haven't come up with a good (simple?) design. Swapping the fork legs over is the first step......to put the caliper mounts at the front. Then it should be easy enough to make some caliper mounting plates. Sorting the wheel axle mounts is rather more tricky though.
Paul.

it would be interesting to see the additional wear to the forks with that amount of offset forward .

just a thought

Paul.
The calipers can be mounted the same way as it is on the EML.
The mounting plates have a bearing and are rotating on the wheel shaft.
If the weather cooperates, I will try to take pictures tomorrow.
I believe that you can do the whole assembly without turning the forks. The original caliper mounting hole would only be used to attach the extension.
The only major modification would be a longer wheel axle.
Let me find some free time and I will try to sketch something for you. (I have some ideas)
Many heads working on the same project can lead to an easy solution. Very Happy
I already have a leading fork, but designing something to modify the original fork interest me.

Just so I get this right, you are talking of using the left leg in the right and right in the left that is pull em both out and turn em over and put em in then fabricate the fork extension. if that is right and you add the callipar mounts to the fork extension then all that is needed is for longer brake tubes fron the flexible hose to the new calipar location, am I on the same page as you blokes yet????

More or less, but sidecar blokes do go to some weird pages. scratch
Swapping the legs over just provides some mounting points at the front as can be seen on CF's initial pics.

Paul.

Here is a pic of the EML brake calipers. This could give you some ideas.

The support is mounted on the wheel shaft.
To modify an original fork:
If the piece to bring forward the wheel axle was a U shape type, the problem would be solved.
The way that I see the piece to bring the wheel forward: It should be attached to the original holes holding the caliper and a 'stub' the size of the wheel shaft should be welded on the bracket and inserted in the bottom of the fork . This way you have a 3 fix points of contact for the extension.
I will sketch that later.
