I just bought a nice k1100rs corbin seat. I found it on craigslist for 50 dollars, at a price like that I thought it was worth trying to fit on my bike. I have an 87 RS, any suggestion or things I should know before attempting the retrofit? Oh, and it's white leather, any suggestions on how to change the color without recovering it and not ruining my khaki work pants when I commute?

It should be a straight swap. It was the earlier bikes that had a different seat.

It went on quite nicely and the white isn't too terrible. Does any one know of any kind of spray paint or similar product the would work on leather?

Alpenweiss. So the white leather is just kind of off. It is my daily commuter so I am not overly concerned with the color but I would love to maybe just add some black accents to break up the white. I will post pics soon.

I once had leather white seats in a fiat X19 convertible....until we sat a take away vindaloo on the seat....yep that permanently stained the seat a yellowy brown....never faded or came off on clothing....so go down to the local indian and buy a curry....works a treat.
Curry stains never go out of fashion

May be worth asking a shoe repairer or upholsterer. Must be some sort of polish or dye that will do it. Darker the better for a even finish I should think.

I remember a post last year about VHT spray dye, but I've just had a look at VHT's site and it will only work on untreated leather.
Anyway, it might be useful to someone with a vinyl seat who wants to change colour!
