Have been there a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed myself, especially in the smaller places. Lovely people and I felt strangely at home! ( Well ok...apart from that bit where I couldn't understand anything anyone said).
Funny you should mention the sidecar being on the right wrong left right side...I am having trouble visualising it on the right side! Which is the wrong side of course....

AL,
I see you have an XT1200Z.
Is that really a 1200cc chookchaser?
Aren't XTs supposed to be like 500 singles?
Sane.

As much a 1200cc chookchaser as an R1200GS is. A comfortable bike to tour on with some dirt capabilty is what I wanted. Its other name is Super Tenere. Its a 1200cc parallel twin with a270 degree crank like a TDM850/900 or TRX850
I'm on XT #2, the first got written off. This pic is the day before the accident, no chooks were being chased, but the ducks were in trouble

I'm a Bathurst boy, born and raised there.
Moved to Blacktown in the early 60's. Then it was a number of places between Sydney, Newcastle and Bathurst.
Now I enjoy the semi-rural life style in Sydney's north west.

The only problem is, I'm very close to Klompy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy (sorry mate, I'm just joking)

Born Brisbane on Australia day 1950 and Australia has been cellebrating ever since.
At about age 4 I was stolen by Goblins and a changling child was left in my place but at 4 years and one month I was swapped back and that was when my parents started to think something was going on.
The poor parents never recovered from the 2nd swap and spent most of their spare time learning how to use a whip and chair.
Finally when I turned 21 they ran away from home late one night and left the rest of Australia to deal with me.
