Hi there from a first time Beemer owner. Wanted something completely different from my Honda Firestorm, and an 87 K100RS certainly fitted the bill. Looking forward to learning more from the BMW Brick Brotherhood.

Hi Leo,

There's been a few new members lately from Vic I think. Bricks are easy to repair by a non mechanic rider, making them economically repairable, that's one of the things I like about them.

Enjoy the ride.

Welkome to the forum. K bikes were considered unnecessarily complicated when they arrived on the scene some 41 years ago. We now know this 'complexity' is the key to their simplicity, or some shite.

Some of my first memories, aged 2 thru 5, are from Boneo Road in Rosebud, just down the road from Mornington. My father taught music at the local high school. Our school house is long gone, its foundation buried beneath the expanded car park.

Welcome Leo I did my apprenticeship just down the road at Balcombe. I remember getting really good burgers in Mornie just up the road from the cop shop.
Regards Martin.

Welcome too from the northern territory I mean hemisphere. You are in good company there.

The feeling goes like...last weekend I changed oils and filter in a K.

Yesterday I did the same in another K....

They are such gems for working on but always remember the little saying 'while you are in there do....'

Hi Leo!

My parents have relocated down to Mornington, so once I have the K100 back on the road I may bump into you on Main St. I'll probably be parked out the front of one of the Mexican places  Smile
