Ok, lets see the R bike knowledge here. What is wrong with this photo (besides chains on a motorcycle)?

I think my ISP was having a fit. Not too sure it is reversed because the 3 on the number plate is right way round but its an R so I dont really give a rubber rat's ringhole about it.

It's obviously an american model, the drive is on the wrong side of this GS.

That's what I thought but look at the license plate. Now the 2013 GS has the drive line on the left, but if you look at the engine the TBs are located at the rear of the head while the liquid cooled 2013 GS has the TBs on top of the head and the exhaust exiting out the bottom.

Look at the cylinder head. The new GS has the TBs on top of the head but you can clearly see the TB coming out the rear of the head in the photo. Likewise the exhaust of the new GS exits the bottom of the head, but not in this photo.

I'm wondering if it was an R&D test mule for the new drive line that used the old engine. If so it would be a very unique one off bike. It's just something that struck me when I saw the photo while investigating snow chains for motorcycles.

Btw, those are Wunderlich snow chains and they cost $219 USD each! I guess it's cheaper than crashing, but ..............

The original pic puts the side stand on the right and that is a new one to me.
