Hey Guys!

I recently acquired a neglected and abused K1100LT with around 90,000 miles on it. It's got a new home in my garage now and I am in the process of stripping the bike down, repairing what's broken, and converting it into a cafe racer.

I already have a bunch of items that are leaving me scratching my head so looking forward to participating and keeping everyone updated on my project!

Christian

Welcome to the forum. Charlie forgot to mention the importance of plastic zip lock bags. Always label and place parts in bags.

Great advice gents. Might be a little late for some of this already Embarassed Looking forward to getting into this thing. Electrics will probably be the biggest challenge based on the shape of the wiring harness. I've always wanted a K bike heard they are addicting and fairly bulletproof if well taken care of!

Welcome too. A challenge but its definitely worth it. I got my K with 91k miles on it, it has brought a lot of enjoyment and once you get to know your way around it maintenance is easy.

If you havent a manual get one. I got a Clymer with mine and it weas great. Dont hesitate to ask for help here, whatever the problem is, someone has seen it before. I got great help and seems like we made up some good friendships too.
