Thanks for posting ungaas. that campsite is in Comberjohn's stomping ground and next to the one where Olaf, bjorn and co stayed for our Antrim trip. Really good part of the world for riding.

I had a look at the website this one is coming from and its worth a second look. The 200 mile run would seem to replicate Comberjohns excellent route! Its not a long weekend though and that may be a trouble.

I have signed up for this one. The plan seems to be a for a run of about 200 miles on the Saturday and a BBQ on the Saturday night at the camp park. There is reasonable cost hostel accommodation at the Park but also tents are £5/per night per person. A thought crossed my mind of a few of us doing this but instead of the 200 mile run perhaps using the Saturday to do Strangford Lough and the Mourne Mountains? Comberjohn had some good ideas on this and could be worth pursuing....It is right in his patch!!!

All going well I see you there, I have signed up, by the way the K100LT is now sold, and off to see about K75.

Well done on the LT. It was a good one and maybe we have a new member out ofthe sale? The K75 sounds a dream too. Does this now have the makings of a trip all by itself?

Possibly, but not sure yet. The buyer of the K100 seems to be more into the restoration side of things as he is going to refurbish the bike to a high standard. Has other bikes that he has previously restored. See you at the ABR rally or possibly sometime before.

I too have signed up for this ABR bash. There is something about the relaxed approach of ABR events that is addictive. Irish Meeting 22936

Nice to see that folks on here will be going along, now that I have just joined the ranks of BMW ownership with a K100LT. I´m keen to learn more about the bike.

The plan is to ride up to the ABR PHiss in France the week before on my XT660Z - spend a few days with mates there - then dash north over the water to my place in Wales - few days work then up through Wales, over the water to Dublin, and ride up to the ABR bash (before heading all the way back home again, via Santander).

As the rides at this ABR bash will be on tarmac, the question is whether I drop off the XT in Wales and head to Ireland on the K100... Question

I might join up for this weekend as the proposed June weekend in Killarney looks like it might be out for me. I could meet you off the Ferry and travel up with you Pat!

This has the makings of a nice K weekend.....I think we have Tom Foley, 88KE, Barcelona Pat, 92KK so far. Since we will all be travelling via Dublin perhaps meet up somewhere on the way. I would hope to see the camp site early enough Friday afternoon if all goes well.

Might be Saturday for me... not sure yet... depends on how the earlier legs of my trip go. Looking forward to it though.

Sounds like a good meet up and chance for a ride out.
Not sleeping in a tent though!
Especially when I have a perfectly comfortable bed 10 minutes up the road.

No bed will ever equal the comfort of my tent, however if you have a spare bed that hasn't been used for awhile and needs to be tested for comfort, especially on the nights of the rally, I would be happy to volunteer my expert opinion acquired by spending countless nights in as many beds as I can get for free............

I hope that Christmas flu is now in the distant past.

Would be nice to see you out for the Saturday....I am mindful of a trip around the Mournes and Strangford Lough.....I must say the September camping was really excellent with a truly excellent itinerary.....Weather permitting a bbq on the Saturday night at the campsite would be nice. Seems we might now have 5.....
