Hello team.My rs came with no windstream deflector and i get a bit of noise.Closing the helmet vent takes the "cackle" away buts its still up there.Just wondering if those deflectors are worth getting?Any input greatly appreciated and happy holiday season to all.Thank you all for all the help and entertainment i have already had from this site.
Greg

Interesting question Greg. I get a lot of air right in the wrong place on my RS. An inch hgher or lower I'm OK but in my natural seating position it's bloody loud. I have just removed my deflector to see if it will make a difference! Adjusting it has no discernible effect. If this fails I will buy an extended screen that will push the airflow a few centimetres higher.

Cheers
Dave

Hey, if anyone needs it, I have a brand new, in the package, Laminar Lip to fit K100RS & K1100RS. It fits over the OEM deflector with little stick-on Velcro-ey circles. It'd work well for tall blokes and short arses who want to block a bit o' the breeze.

I'd let it go for US$40 plus postage to wherever you are. This is a link to what it looks like, only in dark smoke tint:

I will paste this to Buy n Sell too.

A bit improved for me mate - there is less screaming and high pitched whistling, just normal wind noise now. I'm getting some decent ear plugs for myself and this should be enough I reckon.

This is what the lip is designed to do; they sprayed the poor sod with water - check out his taped up coveralls and wellies!

Thanks, yeah she's a beauty.

Had too much time on my hands today Very Happy and tried sticking a nnumber plate on to mimic the tall screen you can get for the RS from Motorworks. Made no real difference but then it's not as high or curved as the Motorworks screen; still it gives me some doubt the taller screen would make a difference and ofr £100 I'd want a big difference. For me with standard seat and 5'7" chopping an inch off the top of the screen would probably be a cure.
