Hi everybody
I'm Reg and I live in Bristol UK
I bought my first ever BMW 2 years ago and its a
1987 K100RS 'Style'
Or was......
I hated the narrow bars and when I got hold of a 1985 K100RT
I pinched the fairing and bars from that and much prefer the higher/wider RT bars
the tail rack has been dumped and I made up my own level type
with a GIVI plate on it since the pic was taken.
I also added a home made 'flip up' on the RT screen and it works too as I can ride
'visor up at high speed should I wish to and more importantly, it
keeps down wind noise which is wearing on a long run
Its done 75000 miles so far and I hope to get well past the 100 thousand mark
Apart from the battery and a tyre getting worn out, its never let me down
and at times its been ridden up to 500 miles in a day in all weathers
I bought temp and fuel gauges from Ebay and made my own wiring harness
and they work very well.
I do have some minor issues with it but will post that in the appropriate threads
