Wow only 9k miles ! fantastic. lots of help on the forums but we haven't figured out how to create time, only save some $$$ so we can spend them on other parts.

Greetings from the Great South Land Peter. There's plenty of expertise here to call on.

Welcome Peter! Wow a turbo too.
I bought my 1st k100 north east of the Philly area last year.. Yes long way to get a k bike, but this one has an articulating sidecar, which was my motive for buying.

Lots of good people here, so they can steer you the right way and maybe give you a laugh or two along the way! lol!

Wanted to update since original post/intro:

Non running accident victim arrived. Since then, bike is in garage dismantled.
Head bearings, forks, fork legs apart. Gas tank apart. ALL aluminum parts have been glass bead blasted by me, and are out getting tumbled in ceramic and then walnut media to polish/protect.
Fork legs and wheels to be painted. Fairings to be professionally painted.

All wiring has been cleaned, and cleaning spray spot black painting continues to be done. Drive train cleaned/lubed, valve clearances checked.
Refurbished Works shock replacement.

Much left to do/reassemble. Hopefully complete by spring.

Pictures to follow, hopefully.

Peter

Hi Peter,
Please do put the details of your progress on the restoration in the "Your own renovation" section that way members interested in the restoration process will see it, not all read the new members section and hence the great details about your work can get missed.
Regards,
K-BIKE
