Hello
I was at this show yesterday.
My first time to get to it since it moved from Dundrum.
Saw some lovely machines and even some unusual one's.
An automatic Honda 750....who would have thought.
And my first K1, must belong to someone here.
plus some new and old BMW models.
photos to follow

Can't seem to load the picsaweb Rod. The only one on the island and on here with a K1 is Trapper, Scotty.ie sold his. Trapper's is a Red'n'yellow WX reg one, IIRC. I'll try the pics on a better connection later.

Strangely, I am pretty sure that the Honda automatic was a 650 here in Australia.
No idea why.

Those Hondas never came to Australia as a new bike. There were a few that came in as Grey imports, 6 I believe and there may have been some as personal imports.
I was working for Honda Australia at the time and we were always getting asked when we were going to get them and the answer was never as Honda made it perfectly clear that they didnt see a future for them here as the Aussies would not have bought them in sufficient numbers and they were right.

The K1 in the carpark was not Trapper's, it was clean but not quite as much as Trapper's.
No BM's in the show itself was a bit disappointing.

Jeez Monk - you've just put an image in my head of DeRodster walking around the car park and never making it into the main event (I know someone who did that at the LeMans Classic Smile )

Ha good one, no I made it in all right, even got a new tail light for the M20. but there were many a fine machines in the bike park area and I could have taken many more photos. sadly my time was limited.
and indeed no BMW's inside that I saw , so maybe next year.
They were looking for machines to display....and a fine display it was. Some photos up on the IVVMCC yahoo site including that K1.
