"Luka" is the name of a song that was sung by Suzanne Vega years ago. The lyrics go "my name is Luka, I live on the second floor..."

Welcome to the Forum Luca.

When RT mentions the "other nutters", he really thinks he is the only sane one! Very Happy

Hello Luca,

You must be younger than most of these "nutters" including me. That's why you don't know the old song.

Actually I'm 21 yo, so this bike is older than me.
Had first ride just now, not bad, very nice engine, really elastic and ready even at 1500rpm on 5th gear. But i have to work again on some problems (first: braking).

Welcome indeed Luca....

21???

I am now getting worried. My 24 year old son's licence became unrestricted in July. He has a 1988 Honda Bros 400, same age as himself. He tried a Fireblade some weeks ago before heading back to Budapest.

What happened afterwards now worries me.

He parked up the Bros for me to do a few jobs on it while he is away. Then he sat up on my K and said...."I could like this".!!!

Didnt trouble me until I saw your age Luca. Up to then he copied my brothers comments 'a pipe and slippers bike'.

My license got unrestricted last year; I bought an Aprilia RS250 (what a beautiful bike.. amazing!) and then now this K100 in order to use it as everyday motorbike.
I can't understand why you're worried, it's a bike that is not so sporty, not like most recent bikes.

i don't think that he could "steal" your bike, I mean, if he will have the chance he will get a more recent bike; I choose the k100 for everyday journeys just because had a good price, was already subscribed to a national historical interest list (so less tax and insurance); If I could, i would have bought a K1300 or a Multistrada!!

"a pipe and slippers bike" is really a nice description! Ahahahah

From the USA-welcome Luca. I recommend reading old posts on topics. Use the search option. Also, Crazy Frogs electronic diagnostics is a good one to read and save. Great bike, great times, good luck. kfilipow
